Rachel Nichols loves to keep herself busy, and these days it doesn't seem to be a problem. Rachel splits her time
between New York City and Paris, studying at Columbia University and modeling full time in Europe.
"I plan to graduate from Columbia and look into graduate school. If all goes well, I will still be hitting the books in five years."
Rachel, a 5' 10" blue-eyed, blond-haired beauty, started modeling on a whim. "I was in the right place at the right time
and decided to give modeling a try." It seems to have paid off! Rachel appears in GUESS?' Fall 2000 advertising campaign,
shot by Pablo Alfaro in pristine Northern, California. Growing up in Maine, Rachel felt right at home hiking through
the forest and kayaking in the surf for the campaign. As she says, "It was perfect, like a vacation." The five a.m.
wake up call didn't even seem to phase her!
When she can find some down time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends. And, sorry guys, but she does
have a boyfriend! The long distance relationship is not easy, but it seems to be going smoothly for Rachel and her beau,
an actor who lives in Los Angeles.
Keeping fit is something Rachel always finds time for. She hits the gym at least four times a week and counts sailing,
skiing and dancing as some of her hobbies. She also attempts to keep a healthy diet, but lists Ben and Jerry's ice cream as
one of her favorite treats!
Rachel has this advice for those interested in modeling: "Always be yourself. Keep a good head on your shoulders and don't
do anything that you don't feel comfortable doing. And, most importantly, smile, smile, smile!" It looks like these days,
Rachel has a lot to smile about!
